Boxing Day
« on: December 26, 2005, 09:41:53 am »

More turkey, more chocolates, left-over pudding, everyone's sick of the decorations, everyone's sick of playing Scrabble, Meet me in St Louis on the TV again

Must be Boxing Day.

My sentiments exactly - I enjoyed yesterday but already I want to get back to normal, whatever 'normal' is!

It's strange, Boxing Day is always a very lively day for me as we have all my mom's family over. You have to book airpsace in advance if you want to get a word in! In fact I ought to go and start making that giant pasta bake...

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

We're all going to my sister's this evening.  I don't know why she bothers to invite anyone really as she and her husband seem to spend most of the time either studying the TV pages or leaping up and down to adjust the Video/DVD recorder!  Personally I've given up recording anything as I never get round to watching it - if I miss it I miss it and it will be on again sometime.

Just been watching and now cos it's on C5 got to have commercials.  Not seen this prog for a few years but the kids always used to be nice and middle class.  Now they are more restless and ordinary.

These lectures should be on BBC, whatever happened?  More dumbing down I expect.

The kids in the audience are a rabble.  The programme illustrates the decay in society, specially the youth. I'm not a snob but it's just sad.

Yes, we noted that these lectures used to be on BBC2. Channel Five is a strange channel. Sometimes they have really interesting documentaries and programmes - then they have really smutty or nasty violent films.
