Did 623 mean "Killing spree?" I've never seen any other endings...

It's a reference to an episode of 'The Simpsons', in which Bart and Lisa find an alternate, happy ending to 'Casablanca'. The studio exec behind it pays them to get rid of it and take the alternate 'It's a Wonderful Life' ending too, which sees the main character go on a killing spree.

Ahhh i see - i thought it might be like Titanic, with the alternative ending ( which i haven't seen - anyone know what it is? Please tell me that it isn't a huge, A Team style hairdryer at the front of the boat that melts the iceberg prior to collision...)

The best ending to a film is The Railway Children. "Daddy! My Daddy!".

   It gets me every time.

Apparently when Nick Leeson got cancer, the studio behind 'Rogue Trader' delayed production of the film in the hope that he would die and give them a more dramatic ending!

Having seen the film, I think delaying production permanently would have been the best option.
