Poor Nana Moon died and I got too upset. I don't want unhappiness in soapland at Chrimbo time.

Although I did wonder that if Alfie really thought she was still alive, he should have perhaps done something useful like check her pulse.  Or wasn't I watching properly?

'Ere, Alfie love, I was wondering, why 'aven't you mentioned to my other grandson, Spence, that I ain't got long to live? Is it because 'e 'ad a nervous breakdown in real life after them gay rumours in the tabloids and can't come back to the show?'

Bounty, how mean of you to start those gay rumours about Spencer.

Nana Moon used to play an equally dippy lady in Citizen Smith, also starred Robert Lindsey in the 1970s. Very funny.

Yes, I remember her in that.  She hasn't changed much.

The specky brother is now in Last of the Summer Wine.  The hard geezer is a B acting nobody and Peter Vaughn is dead I think but I stand to be corrected on that.  He was of course Grouty for a time in Porridge among many others.

Robert Lindsay was good in Hornblower.

Robert Lindsay is good in everything but was totally brilliant in GBH.

I'm here to correct you Bounty - Peter Vaughan is alive and well (well, the first one at least - don't know him personally so can't vouch for his health!) He has hardly aged since Citizen Smith. He was in the brilliant Chancer with Clive Owen; anyone remember that?

Lou I've just watched it on the omnibus. Most of the episode was crap, and then when she died it was really sad. I'm not surprised you cried, I must admit to a little tear myself.

I remember  Chancer. Peter Vaughan palys a superb villian. You're right, he hasn't changed much but he must be 80 odd.

I wasn't sure, perhaps he's just not very well.  Glad he's still alive.

My Mum keeps going on about the nana Moon bit and says it's sad and made her cry.  Not watched it.

I cried the other night though on Crimewatch, in a reconstruction of a rape.  I can't stand to see women get hurt like that.  I just felt this incrdibly strong sympathy for her and I broke down.  First time I've cried since my Dad's funeral in 2003.

Nothing wrong with a man crying Smurfy.
