Check the dictionary, bounty! I don't often use 'hang', 'hung' or 'hanged' in an everyday sentence, but it says that 'hanged' is more common, but 'hung' is still correct.
I could be even more pedantic, but I won't.
Oops....just was!
I was wr...., I was wr..... I was wr.......
Does not compute
To be even more pedantic;Hung; as the past and past participle of 'Hang'; The use of 'hanged' is somewhat preferable to that of 'hung', when reference is had to death or execution by suspension, and it is also more common. So, actually you're not incorrect LouLou, it's just more common to say 'hanged'.
