Probably. I preferred normal tubes, they were easier to pour the Smarties into your mouth with!

When i was small, if you went to the cinema, on rare occasions, i would be given a square box of Smarties. A whole square box! If Iu was really lucky, it would be a box of fruit pastilles. They would last a few days. Does anyone remember these boxes? In those days, that was a real treat.

Oh yes!  And somehow Smarties always tasted better from the boxes.  The bonus with fruit gums in a box was that you got an extra flavour too - strawberry as well as raspberry (or was it raspberry as well as strawberry?).  Anyway - two different red ones.

Mine never lasted a few days though....

I remember the boxes of fruit pastilles etc, they made them not too
long ago. Boxes of Smarties are still made, I see them in
Morrisons.

Yes! I remember the different shape of the fruit pastilles in the box.

I loved the lime falvoured ones and the lime fruit gums.

Nestle Fruit Pastilles.  It sounds so wrong I could cry.
