Halloween
« on: October 30, 2005, 06:41:04 pm »

Am I the only miserable old grouch on the Forum who hates people knocking on my door asking me to participate in trick or treating?

I hate anyone knocking on my door anyway. Salesmen, Bettaware merchants, God peddlars - I hate them all knocking. I feel it is an intrusion.

I've had sdeveral round already tonight and it's not halloween until tomorrow!

Shall I give them some humbugs?

Oldspice ask that what they are doing for their "reward".

When I went "guising" as a child we always had to tell a joke or sing a song for our reward.

If they say "Eh?"

Tell them to piss off back to Uncle Sam.

Ouch, that's a bit harsh...

I'm all ready for any trick-or-treaters that come knocking on my door (providing I'm in). I only got 1 last year, but perhaps there will be more this year.

Sorry Sillyyank03.

I just find that your county's traditions have usurped ours on this date. A hollowed out turnip is soooooooo much more hardwork!

I allow trick or treaters as long as they're female and between 16 - 18.

A couple of years back I got 'trick or treat - well give us some money then!' I told them to f**k off, cheeky little sods!
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

Trick or treaters are welcome to my pumpkin's innards or any food in my house that is past its 'best before' date

If they think they are getting money or chocolate they have another think coming ...

I put a notice on my door. It said:

Thank you
