I have a Nottingham accent but I have mellowed it consciously since I think the local accent is ugly.  My pitch is baritone.  I can speak very nicely when the occasion dictates and can do standard English faultlessly.  I've been told I sound like my late and much missed father.

I've got a Yorkshire accent, it's thicker than most kids my age but it's not as thick as some people's.

I have a typical midwestern US accent - not a strong Chicago one (they stress the 'a's in words, i.e. Chicaaaaago).

Basically, it's your standard generic accent heard in many a movie or television show. However, I do have a slightly different inflection now when I ask questions and say certain words which I have gotten from living in England for the past 2 and a half years. My friends get a kick out of it when I go home.

Oi've got quoite a strong brummie accent bab.

Actually the reaction varies from person to person. A lot of people say they can't tell I'm from Birmingham at all - I think they must be deaf! But it's possible I've got a bit of Nottingham in there too as I lived there for six years.

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I have a standard Southern accent - not countrified Dorset.  Apparently I sound very young, especially on the phone.  People are always asking to speak to my mother when I answer it!

That happens to me too! Many callers have asked if they can speak to my mum!

I have a southern accent. You can tell I come from London but I do not sound cockney or like an east ender. I do not drop my 'hs' or say bruvver for brother. Since I have been in the Fens for 17 years, you can detect a slight bumkiness about my accent.

Old but spicey!

Unfortunately it doesn't happen when I answer the door though!  Bumpkiness - excellent word.

I genuinely didn't notice that and it made me look like I was pointing it out, which I wasn't!
