I'm amazed - there are people out there who actually remember Galaxy Counters!!  I've asked just about every soul I've newly encountered for the past 16 years whether they remember Counters and I've yet to meet anyone who didn't think I was imagining things... I was beginning to think maybe I had.  Weren't they white, packets with various cartoon 'zoo' animals next to a variable number of counter?  I seem to recall a giraff and maybe a camel... what other animals were on the backs of them - anyone remember?

Somewhere on here there's a thread all about them.  You're right about the packet and at one time they had numbers on.

I remember collecting wrappers from Cadbury's Super Mousse and sending them off to get stickers about the Apollo missions.  There was a little area that you rubbed with a pencil and if you got two with the same number you could get the sticker for that Apollo mission...

What about Caramac?  Do they still make that one?  And Bar Six...

Do you remember an ice lolly called a Lollygobblechocbomb or (my favourite) a Fizzbang?  It was lemon with sherbet in the middle...mmmmm.

Bar Six is (sadly) long gone, but Caramac is still available.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I remember Lollygobblechocbomb and still snigger at the name!

Bar Six was an old favourite of mine, as was Cadbury Super Mousse.

Great days the 70s.

Beware the Curse Of Nestle!

In the 80s, Finlays newsagents were in dispute with Nestle (then still Rowntree's, just about). They refused to stock KitKats, and offered Bar Six as the alternative. Now, both Finlays and Bar Six are gone.

It's the Curse, I tell ye!

Anyone else noticed on Snackspot, if you follow the thread 'Cadbury Dairy Milk Wafer', someone claims to have seen Bar Six still available in May with a best before of July 2007?

Bar Six always used to be in the Christmas Selection Packs - I don't really remember them being on the racks, though I expect they were.

I also remember Galaxy counters - were the animals in blue and brown on the packets?
