I must have been off that day. I went on X-Factor and Simon Cowell told me I was the greatest singer he'd ever heard. But I said 'I'm sorry, I wouldn't waste my time on some tinpot talent show!' and flounced out.

That Nina was deadly. Simon Cowell is a pussycat by comparison.Some of those old talent shows were so funny. People doing strange things with their shoulder blades, old men playing spoons, singing dogs, fire eaters and of course Lena Zavaroli.

Poor Lena Zavaroni died. Wasn't she anorexic? That other one doesn't appear much on tv now...erm Bonnie Langford. I think she was Wayne Sleeps friend.
