No. Just covered them in cheap, nasty chocolate.

The wrapper is the same but oldspice is right. The choc is cheap and vile.

I actually think youre wrong. I think the problem with them is that the
chocolate coating is simply so THIN that you cant taste the chocolate.
If it were chunkier, like Kitkats, it might be nicer.

Yuk! The chocolate on Chunky KitKats is vile! It USED to be nice, then they changed it! It's like cheap cooking chocolate now. They did the same with Lion Bars. Nestle admitted that some of the bars in the former Mackintoshes/Rowntrees range were re-vamped using cheaper ingredients to keep the price down.  I'd rather pay more and have something worth eating.

I cant comment really but the chocolate on KK Chunky tastes fine to me,
perhaps it's one of those things that the older ones who grew up with
Mackintoshes only notice.

They used to make Quality Street and Goldencup amongst others. Bought out by Rowntrees - not sure when, but the name disappeared in the early/mid 80s. Rowntrees were then bought out by Nestle in the early 90s.

You would think Nestle, being such a large company could keep the
prices down without using cheaper ingredients, Mackintoshes were only a
small company.
