I was going to do duck a'la orange with potato dauphinoise and asparagus with rosemary butter, preceeded by an amuse bouche of butternut squash and coriander potage, and followed by chocolate creme brulee with fresh raspberries and mint leaves. Unfortunately I didn't have time to go shopping so we're having cup-a-soup, fish fingers with alphabites and noddle doodles, and a choc ice.

You made Barbara cry! That's not a wig. You do know it's her actual hair?!

One day, a little girl is sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly notices that her mother has several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head. She looks at her mother and inquisitively asks,
'Why are some of your hairs white, Mum?' Her mother replied,
'Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.'
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while, and then said,
'So, Mummy, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?'

'Mommy, why are your hands so soft?'

'Because I told your dad if he didn't buy me a dishwasher I'd divorce him and screw him for every last penny, darling'.

The garden had a small network of paths with colourful, early flowers along the borders.  A Song Thrush was serenading the failing light, which was now slightly eerie with just the last glimmer of the setting sun on the horizon and a full moon in the opposite side of the evening sky.  It felt lovely and the air was mellow with a faint waft of baking bread from a nearby brasserie.

Autumn leaves danced on the breeze as Jocasta stared dreamily through the bay window, longing for Rupert's return. As she twisted a tendril of her flame-coloured mane around her finger, she relieved the beautiful moment when he had pollenated her flower. As if by magic, his strong, manly form appeared in the doorway.

'Rupert!' cried Jocasta ecstatically. 'I'm so glad you're here! I need you to run me up to Asda, I need to do a big shop.'
