Notices seen in staff loos

Please wash hands and shake vigorously before using dryer.

Please do not flush sandwiches down the toilets. Put them in the bins provided.

why would anyone flush sandwiches down the toilet.

It seems that that is what has been happening and the loos have been blocked. The staff have blamed it on two things:

a) foreign language students who used the college during the summer

b) the quality of the refectory sandwhiches
