Unusual Food Combinations
« on: August 27, 2005, 10:56:27 pm »

Reading the post about dipping chips in creme egg (ugh!) made me think of this topic.  At college for some reason we all used to dip prawn cocktail crisps in strawberry yogurt and I've previously admitted to a liking for Marmite and strawberry jam on toast.

Does anyone else like any strange combinations?

But then I hate peanut butter.  In Australia they put beetroot with everything, especially burgers, and I got to like that when I was there.

I adore grilled bananas wrapped around with bacon. It is the most heavenly combination in the world.

Peanut butter and jam sandwiches (PBJs) or peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwiches (fluffernutters) - both are perfectly normal back at home. but I haven't met a person here who shares my likings and I don't expect to.

I think peanut butter can be mixed with allsort and still be nice. Same as Philadelphia cheese. I love cheese and stawberry jam together.

Mmm, cream cheese and strawberry jam - now that's a good combination!

Well as I don't like peanut butter or liquorice I don't think I'd find it a good combination!
