A good solid batting performance from England today with a small case of the jitters tonight. With wickets in hand and Freddy to come in we could post a good total. I would like to see 500 hundred by lunch and then put them in. I think batting first was a great advantage and I think this wicket will do a bit, especially later on day two onwards. It would be great if we can force a follow on. Ooh, now I'm fantacising.

Basically the first two batsmen come out and then they're in. The bowlers then try to get them out. After all the batsmen have come out and then got out until one man is left in then the other side bat and so on. That's the gist of it anyway.

My reply was ironic. Yes, tea and biscuits/cucumber sandwiches. It is a gentleman's game.
