Looks like dummy explosions (detonators not actual explosive), lots of things closed though.

Perhaps they'll ban ruck sacks, we had a minor incident here because someone entered a building with one but left without it.

Yes, the police are not sure who is behind this, it may be a sick prank.

Looks like it's been fairly minor, but it's scary how much something like this can bring a city to a standstill.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

It's typical! Today is the day the police have released his cab at last and he has had to travel across London to somewhere near Crystal Palace to claim it from the forensic laboratory. He has been held up by all the shutdowns but is OK. He still does not know if his cab is damaged but on Tuesday two detectives came to interview him about exactly where and when he parked his cab, what he was wearing on the day/night he parked it, at what moment he decided not to travel to London on the day of the bombings etc. They were very nice and apologetic about having to exclude him from the investigation in thei way but his cab was less than 20 yeards from the explosion so there may be a lot of forensic evidence on it.

I would be surprised - most insurers have a terrorism get out clause.

Perhaps the benevolent mayor will feel guilty for having tea with the extreme fanatical clerics that endorse and encourage such actions, and will compensate from his own pocket. And in my opinion - he should!!!

More trouble today.  One suspected terrorist shot dead and armed police everywhere.  It's pandemonium in London.
