Lemoneye - would you consider Castro a benevolent dictator? Despite what some Americans and those who claimed to have "escaped" from Cuba (ie mostly people whom Cuba would consider undesirable because they want to exploit those around them) say, it seems to be a very successful, mildy communist system that provides excellent health care, education and housing. Although the people could never be considered "loaded" they have everything they need and seem very content.
Old but spicey!

I have always given Castro the benefit of the doubt.  He is the victim of a huge amount of American propoganda.  Cuba is an excellent tourist destination.

I have never been but i know a number of people who have and i have heard mixed reports. Obviously a haven for smuggling and drugs due to the low incomes, people are known, and in fact it is common to have 3 or more jobs... Whilst i agree, good healthcare and excellent tourism... Cuba is still a communist country and bound by the rules of tradition - ie corruption and the famous line - all animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others...

See now all of a sudden i change my mind and think I'd like to go. That's the gemini coming out in me. I'm either fickle or indecisive.
