OK, so Saddam Hussein has gone, but can anyone put their hands on their hearts and tell me that Iraq is a better place for USA and it's puppy the UK going to bomb it?  Gone is the evil regime - it has been replaced by an evil anarchy.  The bloodshed coming out of this country is appalling and there is very litle end in sight.

I do hope none of the "chocolate social front" are going to say anything about Korea.

Yes, but I doubt very much he comes from North Korea, which is the country with the nuclear weapons. South Korea is completely different.

Also, what does that have to do with Frooty? Do you blame him for anything the Korean regime does wrong?

Oh dear. Maggiemay and I have upset some people! Look, I've not nothing against anyone from Korea and I was very strongly against the invasion of Iraq. It's ok to talk politics alongside chocolate and have a moan and all that. However, I do take exception to someone who has hardly debated any chocolate topics passing moral judgement on us in the UK who may have strongly objected to the bombing but are nevertheless being branded for the act. We ordinary people are no more responsible for the bombing than Frooty is for the nuclear weapons in any part of Korea. See my point?

I do see your point Oldspice. However, (and i am not pointing in your direction) there is a terrible amount of double and sometimes triple standardry on here when we are talking non chocolate.

Yes, I agree. Everybody stops talking chocolate (me especially) at times, but you can't just come on here, say a bit about liking a chocolate bar, then condem all people in the Uk for an act of their government without even finding out whether people supported it.

I actually agree with Frooty. the bombing of Iraq achieved little except more bloodshed and the passing of one evil regime for another - but i am not responsible!

I agree Oldspice - one regime had to go - but when (as it appears to the casual observer) that the whole place is rotten to the core - there is little that can be done and is best left well alone! (Which is maybe why Mugabe, Amin, Gadaffi etc were all left to their own devices to the detriment of their people for so long.)

No, i dont think they did. Idi Amin could have laid claim to introducing AIDS to the world (were he not dead) - it did originate in Uganda didn't it? Or was it Ghana? No oil though. I am in favour of removing all world leaders (especially those in feudal areas) and replacing them with easy to manage monthly payment - sorry (damn you Carol Vorderman) replace them with one benevolent dictator. Should work fine until i die... no guarantee my son(s) (assuming the one on the way is a boy) would be as benevolent as me....
