Bank holiday...............

I had a nice day with my boyfriend planned  until he decided to put a CD player in the car, burnt out the earth wire so I didn't see him for most of the day

Had a lovely jacket potatoe with cheese and coleslaw though....followed by a good 100g chunk of CDM with Caramel

So he spent all day pulling his wire then?

I hope you enjoyed your read, sillyyank. I read that and "The diamond as big as the ritz & other stories", two Penguin Classics editions that I eyed on a "special price" display at the store, a year ago. I really liked Gatsby, and have been curious about "Tender is the night" since, as well. Have you read it?

I haven't read "Tender is the night", but I might get to it after Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath. Gatsby was a good read though.

Did you have a nice meal at the pub goldencup and what was it?

As we were a large group with a collection of fussy teenagers we ended up at a boring Brewers Fayre but it was a fun evening.  We had mixed combos then I had a veggie rice stack thing then a very naughty 'chocolate indulgence' dessert that included maltesers and marshmallows.  Back on the diet today!

i went to a mexican restuarant with a friend and we both had a main and two desserts, then he had a third dessert which i helped with and we both had a magnum on the way home.

it was quite funny to see the waiters face, us being somewhat fitter than average  muscley people , coming in and then eating all that

Goldencup your dessert sounds delicious. I have lost 9lbs in three weeks and have stayed away from desserts and hardly had any chocolate. I have never ate so much fruit in my life as i have the past three weeks. I cheated a bit tonight and had fish and chips.

I'm always eating chocolate in bed lou...it's a very hard habit to break.
