Cadbury Puddles
« on: April 25, 2015, 11:50:28 am »
These are flat CDM bars with 'puddles' (raised miss-shaped domes) of runny filling. The best one is mint, but there is a hazelnut one too.  I feared that the chocolate would be nasty, following Cadbury's take-over by Kraft, but actually it's just like normal CDM.

They are only available in a largish bar, and lots of supermarkets are selling them for £1 instead of about £1.60.

Regarding the Smooth Hazelnut version, I'm not really sure what to make of it.  The filling has subtle tones of cigarette ashtray IMO.

I've not tried the others.

They're sat in the kitchen waiting to be scanned before I try them :)
I'll get around to them eventually.

I often think that hazelnut fillings taste like this. I really don't like them. You describe the taste exactly. The mint ones are yummy - but I am keeping away from this type of stuff as much as possible so when I do have a nibble, I enjoy them all the more. :)

Mint ones great, CDM tastes as good as ever, but whats going on with all the odd shapes since the takeover? such as the CDM creations & now these. You used to break off a square of choc, now its a tetrical-dodeccahedroid; or something.

Ditch the waffty hazelnut one & get a Coffee creme puddles bar on the go please Mr Kraft; oh and mould it from Bourneville, not CDM; theres a good chap

Hi Muggy! Lovely to hear from you. Agree totally. Let's have a coffee cream Puddles bar - but in milk chocolate. There are simply no coffee cream bars anywhere these days.
