"The defence stated (and was able to prove) that when stale a biscuit goes soft and a cake goes hard. A Jaffa Cake goes hard, and therefore is not a biscuit, and is not liable to VAT. "

Yes, a good syllogism.

At last I've been able to get that word in a sentence.  Thankyou Paulham you are a buddy.

I've been waiting for some time to get my favourite new word into a sentence so I shall do it now.  When strolling boustrophedon around the supermarket I shall now notice whether the Jaffa Cakes are in the correct aisle!

Tesco and Asda have jaffa cakes in the biscuit aisle.

Marmite is with the gravy and cooking oils.

Yay, I've found a word Bounty doesn't know!  It means going up one aisle and down the next, literally in the manner of an ox ploughing.  I came across it in a book recently and thought it was a great word.
