Santa to miss out Birmingham
« on: December 21, 2008, 04:32:59 pm »
Owing to logistical issues, Santa will not be visiting Birmingham on Christmas Day, a Toyland source has revealed.  'We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause, and hope to be back there in 2009'.

Apparently a local councillor, Marjorie Clay has said, 'this is awful, but is entirely beyond our control'.  Apparently, presents will be left at Dudley main post office, where people can collect their presents.  Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton will receive presents as normal.

I heard it was because they kept stealing his sleighs every time he parked up at a house to empty a bit more of his sack.

Schweet! I thought I was cooking to have to cook up an elaborate scam where I pretended to live with my grandmother in Walsall. I'm almost sure hilarity would have ensued.

Yeah, Chelmsley wood is a bit rough. It wouldn't surprise me if he gave that part of B'ham a miss.

That's where most of my family are from!

But yes, parts of it are somewhat less than salubrious.

I went to Salubrious for my holidays once. It was very hot but I came back refreshed.
