I had two pieces of an apricot one today and threw the rest away (I was on my own). I could hardly taste any apricot but after two mouthfuls I felt my tongue and throat swelling up and starting to itch. I am allergic to brazil nuts and wondered whether they used brazil nut oil or something. I am so lucky not to end up in hospital!

Poor you! That was a close thing!
They really have to label properly. If any Brazil nuts are involved in its manufacture then they must say so.

I'm fine thanks Lou. I don't actually know what caused the reaction. It could have been some sort of extract of brazil nut but the reaction was not as severe as usual so it could have been something else in the chocolate. I have been suffering more allergic reactions lately as my eczema has flared up and I have been sneezing and wheezing all week because we bought a new matress!  Must be my age.

Chocolate is the voice of passion and love, whether it is the love of chocolate itself or as an expression of love for another human being. Valentine's Day or Saturday, chocolate is the perfect gift for those we care about or just want to impress. Here are some online chocolate shops with some truly extraordinary products.

Well for what it's worth, I MUCH prefer the Apricot.  They are absolutely gorgeous and so hard to get hold of too.  They sell out immediately in my local shop so you have to get in there quick!  Nobody seems to be buying the Cranberry though.  I didn't like them myself...
