Veteran news reader Carol Barnes has died of a stroke.  She was 63. I had no idea she was anything like that old.

I remember she had very good diction and always read the news in a very professional manner.  I expect her colleagues are very sad.

Yes, she worked for ITV when they were at their mediocre peak.

I always thought she was very professional, and like bounty, I would never have known she was as old as that.
