Toffee crisp yuk yuk yuk
« on: February 15, 2008, 10:47:05 pm »
Today I had a toffee crisp and I don't know what was the worst feeling, my top teeth sinking into greasy lard like cooking choc or my botttom teeth almost smashing on the rock hard rice crispies. Also i would need a microscope to see the toffee.

Can't  remember but I agree with you about that lard-like chocolate on Toffee Crisp. They used to be divine but now they are an affront to the chocolate industry.
Old but spicey!

I agree on the Tofee Crisp, but the last bar to really disappoint me was the chunky Aero; it used to be so nice, but it doesn't seem to taste of anything anymore.

I actually preferred chunky Aero when there was less chocolate and larger bubbles.
The chocolate was soooooo much nicer then.

Oh yes - the Chunky KitKat was another one - started out lovely (even for Nestle) then suddenly went revolting due to the nasty cheap chocolate-flavoured coating.
Old but spicey!

What is happening to the chocolate today?
A lot of it tastes like cooking chocolate and the cheap kind at that.

My last horror story was the new Wispa bar.

I wasn't expecting it to taste as good as I recalled, but even so I didn't think it would taste as really bad as it did.

My worst disappointment has been Reese's Fast break....all the flavours just get lost in this stodgy flaourless nougat. Its like eating a sponge...not the best

That's interesting - I didn't think Wispa had changed at all.

It tastes different to her since she gave up the smokes.
