It's the same with Blade Runner. The book, originally called Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? was much better than the film with extra bits that made the story hang together much better than the film.

True, Oldspice. However the music of Vangelis MAKES that film!
One of my all time favourites.
Philip K Dick's books are so accesible for sci-fi.
