The worst person on earth?
« on: June 15, 2007, 03:12:22 pm »
Former Man City footballer Joey Barton stubbed a cigar out in the eye of a youth team player at the club's 2004 Christmas party. He is currently on bail for assaulting team-mate Ousame Dabo. He also has a conviction for assaulting a teenage fan. This week Man City have finally sold him to Newcastle for 5.8 million, and Barton demanded they pay him 300K to leave because - get this - he had a 'loyalty cause' in his contract by which he'd be paid compensation if the club transfer listed him. LOYALTY? Assaulting two team-mates is what passes for loyalty now?

I don't know who should be more ashamed; Barton, or Newcastle Utd, who upped their offer by 300K when Man City rightly refused to cough up to this nasty little thug.

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

The majority of Newcastle fans are very happy to be getting Joey Barton. Footballers are all overpaid and a waste of time.

They have smashed a very big paedofile ring.
All this rubbish about voluntary chemical castration.

They need removing from society for good.

Why voluntary?  It should be compulsory.  Tony Blair could go towards making up for all the wrong he did in Iraq by making this move and protecting our children.  Lets see some Draconian measures for a change.

it may sound all well and good when you're stood on a soapbox, but who would REALLY want to live in a society where perverts are castrated, shoplifters have their hands cut off and murderers are publicly stoned? (etc.etc.)

there's only one civilised solution - lock 'em up and keep 'em there!

I don't advocate the latter two but if we could lock up child abusers for good then we should - but we don't.
