Did anyone watch him meet America's most hated family last night?

I was totally horrified. What a bunch of unpleasant, foul-mouthed fanatics!

If they really knew their bible they would recall "that where more than one of you are gathered in my name THERE IS LOVE".
Old but spicey!

I saw it, I thought they were pretty reasonable.

I didn't see it but a colleague was telling me about it; the family involved sounded awful. We had a good laugh though as apparently they hated Jews, Jehovah's witnesses and atheists - which accounts for all the management and half of the staff of our company!
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

These are the type of small minded people I can't stand. They brainwash their children and generally behave appaulingly. I just couldn't bear to watch the whole programme.

i watched it and could not believe  what i was watching, the fact the adults behave as they do is appalling enough but to involve children as young as 6 in the picketing of funerals is beyond belief Angry

i saw it and it was damn right horrifying. what made me sick is how they'd brainwashed all those kids.

I didn't see it, but from what you've said I'm not sorry.
I hate to watch that kind of thing.

Picketing funerals? I don't think I have the words for how awful that is, and you say they took their 6 year old with them?.

I can't think of anything more personal and disrespectful than picketing a funeral, after all the people attending it are going through enough already without having to deal with this kind of thing on top.

Sometimes I think humans take their right to personal freedom too far.  People like these don't seem to care that others have rights too, it's only about what they want.

It takes courage to change and be different from your parents and the way you were brought up, and I hope their children find it somewhere and realise that although you should be the most important person in your life that doesn't mean you can just ignore the fact that you do not live in this world alone and the other people have feelings too.

You mean you don't think that being told if you have a wet dream you will burn in hell or be sent to purgatory for ever and ever and ever builds character and healthy young minds???

As you can see I'm not too keen on religion myself.
My Sunday School teacher was truly scary and I used to pretend to have tummy aches and feel sick so I didn't have to go.

He told us that if we ever did anything against the law God would see and we would be punished by burning in hell for all eternity.

I found a flaw in their logic though.

I was bounced for shop lifting aged 8, in my one and only brush with thievery I put a bar of chocolate in my bag to test the theory of what would happen if God saw me. (For those who are interested, I got caught and my mum took me to the police station, but we lived in a small village and there was no-one in!!!)  LOL

I figured then that whatever I did after that,  I was gonna burn for my chocolate bar anyway, so if I did loads of other stuff what more could they do to me?

A few years later (and not much more than the ordinary childish naughtiness I hasten to add) it dawned on me that the only person who was bothered now about how I behaved was me. So my life was mine aged 15 and I have been having a great time ever since. (Completely lawfully of course!)Big%20smile

As for the god thing. That'll have to wait, but I think I've got it covered. Big%20smile

Of course I'm not, I thought they were a disgrace.  It's such a shame that they breed the same hatred in their children.

I must admit though, I had to laugh when someone threw a drink in that boys face.
