Worst job you ever had.

I have an idea for us all to list the worst job we ever had. Mine was when I first left school and worked part time in Littlewoods on the womens lingerie. I was almost 16 and horrible men would tell me I was the same size as their wives/girlfriends and would i mind trying on basques to show them what they looked like on. Also mad women would ask me to look for strange size bras that i don't think existed.

a few years ago, weymouth was home to the only New Look warehouse in the world. i worked there for 2 years on nightshift. the single most mundane experience of my life. it's amazing how mentally ill loading/unloading boxes can make you!
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

I worked as a Saturday girl in a bakery. The managerss was a total cow an bullied me from the minute I walked through the door until closing time. I was not the only one she bullied. There was an older woamn who worked afternoons with me and she was treated badly too. The manageress and the two other morning ladies would gang up on me and criticise my work and appearance.

Eventually the branch closed down and the manageress was made redundant. The area manager asked me if I wanted a full time job in another branch when I left college! (I didn't take it)

Old but spicey!

I worked for a catalogue print and design company for three months when I first left uni and it was hell. It was a family run company and if you weren't part of the family, or one of their little gang of chums, you got treated like sh*t. They had us working until midnight and coming in at weekends with no overtime, and there was no such thing as a lunchbreak. Apparently I did very well to last three months - several people quit after a week or less.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

My worst job was a summer working as a waitress aged 17. First of all, I have a terrible memory so I had trouble remembering in which order people came in so I forgot to serve people which (if they didn't walk out) made them grumpy and difficult. Then there was the machine for making frothy coffee which splurted boiling hot water everywhere - including over my hands. The pay was very low and the place was a long way away which made it a difficult commute. Cleaning up at closing time was the worst part although they did provide a decent vacuum cleaner so I just hoovered up all the food off the floor

Oh and did I mention my coffee allergy?
