William’s girlfriend

It is thought that William may soon announce his engagement to his long-term girlfriend, Kate Middleton.

One report a few weeks ago said that Prince Charles might give the couple a 'starter mansion' containing six bedrooms. Apparently this is Charle's idea of saving energy and encouraging them to be environmentally aware. I do hope the poor things won't be too cramped.

Meanwhile, Kate went out clubbing last night and was protected by 10, yes 10, policemen. This is a girl who has never had a job. I only wish that my daughter, a trainee paramedic, could rely on a similar amount of protection when she goes out on her 12 hour ambulance shifts (part of her course) and is pelted with stones and rocks by drunken clubbers in Leicester.

One rule for them and another for us.  I pity your daughter - what sort of human being pelts ambulance workers with stones!    Tell her Bounty gives her his moral support. Maybe they will think twice about it if they need the attention of the people in green one day - the jerks.

Hmm... trainee paramedic eh?  I can feel the makings of a story there

Your daughter has my admiration Oldspice, she has chose one of the most under-appreciated jobs in the  world.                                                                                                     Paramedics do most of the dirty work, usually get all the thankless tasks, often saving the lives before the doctors even get to the patient, mostly without any recognition and for a pittance in wages!

They deserve our gratitude and support, you must be very proud of her.

Wow don't know what happened there.

As for William and his girlfriend I think the excesses of the Royal Family need to be curbed now. It is not as if this country can really afford them anymore. I think it's time everyone was realistic and put the wasted money to better use.

The NHS (hospitals and dentists), rehousing the homeless, education, pensions and benefits for the disabled and protecting children from abuse and neglect, are just a few that spring immediately to my mind.

Sorry to any supporters of the Royal family this post might offend.
