It is best not to judge others, although we all do it.  All we can do is live our lives without hurting other people.

and for those of you who want to see the uncut hanging video, visit ebaumsworld. (not sure why anyone would want to though.)
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

The clips on the news made me feel sick.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

There are things we should see that the media hides. This was one event that should have been hidden, which they chose to show us. The tw*ts. loulou39082.9019791667

I am seriously thinking of becoming a vegeterian because of the slaughterhouses. As for plants - these are gift from God, eating fruit and vegetables is not the same as eating animals.

Although I'm not religious I do agree with this. Humans obviously come first but I believe all sentient creatures should be treated with respect - nothing justifies humans to allow them to suffer when it can be prevented.

I have been vegetarian for a long time now for exactly these reasons.

I am not a believer in any god, preferring to trust my destiny into my own hands and hold myself accountable for my actions, but there are some things that I believe I could not do.

I could not justify the needless suffering of another creature for my sake. I could not permit myself to become accepting of the death of another human being as just something that happens, but I could not forgive or forget anyone who would try to harm my children. If it came down to them or my children I am afraid at that point they become expendable as my protective mothering instincts take over.

One other thing I found particularly difficult in all this was how my view of TV changed because of it or at least partially changed anyway.

I always thought that the point of television was to inform and/or entertain, I would have been equally well informed without the pictures and graphic description of events.

I would never consider this kind of thing as entertainment and I am happy to say I don't know anyone who would, but with this story the news people seemed to be taking a news story and treating it like an entertainment spectacle.

I found this deeply disturbing.

Yes, this was a low point in television.  The BBC are guilty of a serious error of judgement and should apologise.
