Wigs and toupees
« on: August 18, 2006, 01:42:52 pm »

A man sat opposite me on the train last week and I found it hard to keep a straight face. He had a hairpiece perched on top of his head looking like a birds nest. His own hair was black but the wig was brown and very fluffy and flicked.

Would you wear a wig or do you know anyone who wears one?

I was once in a pub where a woman was wearing quite a good wig, but obviously not quite good enough as we were all trying to decide if it was real or not. We thought we were being subtle until the man behind me - a complete stranger - tapped me on the shoulder and said 'it is a wig, isn't it?'

I know a woman who wears wigs. Her wigs are very convincing. Maybe you saw her on the Gail Porter documentary a few weeks back?

Women's wigs are generally far better than men's. I'm hoping by the time I start going bald transplants will have improved and become cheaper!

So you don't fancy being bald then Smurfy?

My Granddad always had a full head of hair. He reckoned it was because of the Brylcreme - he used it every day!

I think I'd look scary bald - more so than now!

I seen that programme. She was a lovely woman and very beautiful. I loved all her wigs. Unfortunately Gail didn't feel too comfortable in them but I think she looks good bald.

I didn't see the programme, but I think Gail Porter is so naturally pretty she doesn't need hair.
