Their spaghetti is nice too. Branston beans and spaghetti were 2 tins for 50p in Morrisons today.

I splash out in comparison and buy Tesco Value baked beans. I would never fork out for any branded beans.


I don't know if it is still true, but at college I did a project on baked beans and found that there is only one source of beans in the UK; the beans are all the same. The only difference is in the sauce. I did notice though that some supermarket beans (eg Somerfield) had less beans and more sauce than others (eg. Tesco)

I remember hearing a similar thing - there was quite a hoo-hah because it came out that Heinz actually made a lot of supermarket beans; hence all those 'Kellogg's don't make cereals for anyone else' adverts.
