What a shame that play was banned in Birmingham.  How else are we to offend our ethnic and religious minorities, if not through the medium of entertainment?

The freedom of expression is absolute and anyone who disagrees is a Cnut maybe even an Ethelred.

The thing is though, although we should allow freedom of speech, I bet the play is pants.

Now it has a novelty value that will attract people to it when it is put on elsewhere.

Minorities? Been to Birmingham lately? Offend the minorites, yes, charge way over the odds for a mars bar. That'll do it every time.

I havent posted in a while, i was busy in parts of Asia erecting an Anglican church. I only just escaped execution.

My post didn't draw the debate I had hoped.  The idea of freedom of speech is utterly flawed.  With it must come responsibility.  If I was to come on here openly advocating the molestation of sheep I would be rightly condemned.  I understand the condemnation might be less robust from parts of Derbyshire and Wales but no matter -  our woolly friends have the right to go unhindered.

Now, where's that nurse!

THE TROUBLE WITH THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS THAT PEOPLE HAVE THE FREEDOM TO ANSWER YOU - AND YOU MAY NOT LIKE THE ANSWER.
