Avoiding buying Chinese products would be interesting - practically everything you look at seems to have 'Made in China' on it - my mum has an obsession about it!

Not sure what 623 means.  We are in the later stages of an interglacial period.  This means that after this awful heatwave we will slowly slip into an ice age.  This though will probably be in many hundreds of years at least, although it's well overdue, so could be sooner - we just don't know.

There was some loon on talkradio once saying we are due an ice age soon. Could be true but I think we will wipe ourselves out before the next one anyway.
