Comedy officinados will be sadenned by the death of John Junkin who has died of cancer aged 76.  He was best known for his radio work with Tim Brooke-Taylor, Barry Cryer et al. and also worked with the Goodies and Morcambe and Wise.  He recently made a come back with a bit part in East Enders.

He was just a guy who turned up and was someone's long lost uncle.  He then had to be written out cos of his ill health.

he cropped up on  TV quite a lot during the 1970s. Nice man and funny too.
