The former Chelsea player has died suddenly. As a youngster, I enjoyed watching him and the 'blues' play with skill and curtesy. RIP oldspice38777.8727662037

Oh, I hadn't heard about Jack Wild - I am even more upset now.  He and Ossie were both childhood heroes of mine.

Did anybody see that programme over Christmas/New Year 2004/5 when they got loads of the cast from Oliver! together?  They all had really fond memories of making the film.  I only saw the second half and I don't think it's been shown again.  Perhaps it will now.

Didn't Peter Osgood drop dead at a family members funeral?

Yes he did. How unfortunate.

I didn't know Jack Wild was dead.  All the girls went mad for him in my younger days. he had that boyish charm that drives young girls crazy. I saw him in the programme about the cast of Oliver and he said he had had throat cancer I think. He looked very different. Very bloated and old. He had problems with drink and drugs for years. Poor old boy.

Linda Smith was also a great favourite of mine. A Very funny ladt.
