Because she knew you could get sent home from work if the office was too cold, she put the thermometer on the window sill to make it colder. Of course it rolled off and smashed on the ground - just as her boss was on his way in! That's not to mention Flo (my mom's batty friend) running downstairs to try and catch it!

That's what I did but when the power came back on and I had to get up and have something to eat and watch Eastenders I felt sick.
