Ice Cream
« on: August 19, 2005, 10:33:55 am »

What is everyones favourite ice cream flavour? Do you prefer dairy ice cream or are you happy with non-dairy?

I would actually choose a really good quality vanilla one before chocolate but I also love fudgey or butterscotch varieties. My absolute fav is Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia but I do fondly remember a magnificent Turkish Delight ripple i had in the Isle of Man a few years back.

Old but spicey!

My favourite is Cornish ice cream, even though it is plain vanilla it is very creamy and thats the kind of flavour I like.

I am also a fan of caramel/toffe ice creams. Carte D'or do a caramel
and fudge on which is gorgeous. Have you tried this one old spice?

My favourite brand of ice cream is local (Devon) called Langage Farm ice cream. They do a lot of different flavours but my all time favourite is mint choc chip.

I have never tried non-dairy ice cream, is it found in supermarkets or do you ave to go to a health food shop?

Skinny Cow ice cream is supposed to be nice but I've never tried it. Also I've never tried Ben & Jerry's but I will have to if they do cherry flavour!

If it's supermarket type ice cream it has to be B+J's.

Get over to their web site and make yourself a B+J's cool club member: www.benjerry.co.uk

Top flavour for me is probably Dublin Mudslide at the moment, but I
like a lot of their flavours (heck I've got stickers on my car and my
fridge and a couple of B+J's T-shirts )

I have had a skinny cow ice cream lolly and they are very good. You
would not know that it was low fat. If anyone is following weight
watchers, they are only 1.5 points.

My absolute fav is Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia

I love it too  But sadly it is very difficult to find

I also love B and J's Peace of Cake, Chocolate Brownie, Phish Food and Oatmeal Crunch. Haagen Daz has to be Strawberry Cheesecake.

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

Ben and Jerry's cookie dough. Some of the other flavours they do cram
too much into one pot. I do like Dublin Mudslide but wish there was
more choc chip cookies in it.

I hate other supermarket branded ice creams. Own bran ones taste
horrible. If Im gona have something that aint B&J, it has to be
lovely fresh homemade vanilla icecream.

Sainsbury's Raspberry Pavlova is nice.  I love B & J's Cookie Dough too but haven't seen it for ages.  My mum makes brilliant homemade raspberry or gooseberry ice cream.

TOp qaulity vanilla with a good, rich, chocolate sauce.

Honeycomb crunch with toffee ripple.

Ben & Jerrys Cherry Garcia - another fan here.
