Oh my goodness they were FABULOUS! Lou and I were real Weekend fans. It was a box of 'chocolates and candies' made by Mackintosh (a Rowntrees company) and contained what it actually says on the box - chocolates and candies. There were nut whirls and cherry creams etc but there were also sweets that had no chocolate on them. I remember sugared almonds (always gave those away), jellies, a square of fudge and the most beautiful lime fondant and other stuff. I have posted a picture of them somewhere on this thread.
Old but spicey!

I bought a copy of The Great British tuck shop ( the works have it for £4.99)  So I have been seeing all the old choc, sweets, lolly etc which used to be sold.
