Gourmet Jelly Beans
« on: October 20, 2013, 05:15:00 pm »
I picked up a delicious little treat for myself today. I love jelly beans and I found a bag of mint jelly beans covered in good quality dark chocolate on sale in Van Hage, an up-market garden/household store. They are made by the Jelly Bean Company, a rival to Jelly Belly and they are very nice indeed. Although expensive at £1.99 a bag, I can make things like that last for days, thus a worthwhile treat after a busy and stressful week.

Is there any other variations?

Now they sound interesting.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

I think there are some other chocolate covered varieties but I did not look that close.

The bag holds 70grms of jelly beans.

I love jelly beans, but I've never tried a chocolate covered one.
I usually buy "Jelly Stones" from Home Bargains. They're made in Ireland by Aran Candy, and when I typed Aran Candy into Google it brought up the Jelly Bean Factory.
These sweets are the same really expensive sweets you can buy under the name Jelly Bean Factory, but they're the mis-shapes and oddballs that didn't quite come out the correct jelly bean shape.
The tubs contain 350g and when they have them in store, (they sell out fast) they're 99p a tub.

I buy lots of tubs when I see them. :D

I really love jelly beans.
