Smurfy have you had AOL probs too then? The last couple of weeks have been a nightmare with my pc but (touch wood) it seems ok now. Doesn't help that I have an NTL modem and apparently my area was affected by electrical storms.

We had such a bad storm here on Wednesday night and the houses at the bottom of my street had water almost up to knee level. I could have cried for the people who have had to pull up their carpets and throw them away. I think it was maybe the local council who bought along a few skips and to see all the carpets piling up in them was heartbreaking. Unfortunately some elderly people thought they could claim from their insurance but they didn't realise they weren't covered for flood.

It was the same driving through Kings Heath recently and seeing roofless houses after the tornado. Some of the roads were still closed a month later.

You don't get to hear about these things on the news. You get to hear
whats happened in the days after but then it drops out of the news and
you forget about it but for the people involved, it's far from
over.
