NestléSo, from the heady heights of Valrhona and Hotel Chocolat to the lacklustre lows of Nestlé! What has happened to the Kit Kat, once one of my very favourite confectionary bars?
I was glad to see that the multipack bars still have silver foil on them so cutting down the centre with your nail is still possible, followed by the snap of course. Although there was no snap because the chocolate is not as good anymore. Eating was quite a challenge for all the wrong reasons. Firstly, the wafer is quite soggy in texture and, lastly, the chocolate is almost unpalatable! I have no idea as to the cocoa content, but I will hazard a guess that it is very low, with the sugar percentage dominating the flavour.
I would recommend this bar to no-one at all, unless it's to people who like licking the insides of sugar packets! I'll give it 1/10 and that's only because it's now part of the Fairtrade bandwagon.
