Cherry Mash
« on: January 02, 2011, 04:43:06 pm »
On a short break in London I visited Cybercandy on the way to the theatre. I had always wanted to try a Chery mash - and there they were - ion a box on the shelf looking very inviting so I bought one.

YUK! Sweet and cloying - a horrible texture - a revolting taste. All I can say is that if this is a great American classic I dread to think of how some other American chocolate tastes.

It's a chocolate and peanut shell filled with a cherry fondant. However - it's a cloggy sort of fondant with a strange texture and it tastes awful. The whole thing is quite big - bigger than a creme egg and much too sickly to eat in one go. It's supposed to be an American classic and I've wanted to try one for years - but I won't repeat the experience!

How disappointing!  But then I think Cherry Ripes are overrated too.

I forgot to mention that during my visit to Cybercandy I saw the most disgusting thing ever. I don't know if I can even mention it on this part of the site or whether I should post it on the Adult Thread.

It was - brace yourself - Cheese Kitkat.

yes - Cheese KitKat.

The dirty bastards.

American choc tends to be crap. Unless it's Mast Brothers, of course...

You should try Montezuma's Hot Chilli drinking choc if you want hot.  Gringo, it is good, no?

If you want hot, you should try my Fiery Jamaican Hot Chocolate, made with chilli choc shavings and a shot of spiced rum! YUMMY!!!
