Dark Chocolate Nestle Crunch
« on: May 25, 2005, 01:16:19 pm »
Got a couple care packages recently (lucky me!) and this was tossed in along with my normally requested items. As a fan of Nestle dark chocolate, I found it both yummy and satisfying.

Just out of interest, what are the other things you miss from home?

Besides my friends, my family, Comedy Central, and walks around my home town and the city, there are many things I miss foodwise:

Graham crackers, york peppermint patties, peter pan crunchy peanut butter, reeses, peanut butter and almond M&Ms, milkyway midnights, pizza from my local pizza place, Dairy Queen blizzards, this awesome vegetarian restaurant (delicious, huge hummous wraps!), cherry pie from Baker's Square, and lots of others.

I can survive without all of that, but those are some things I miss from home.

Well that told me then!  I've heard of most of those but what are Dairy Queen blizzards?

Dairy Queen is a North American (from the US, but they're in Canada, too) soft ice cream chain. One of their most popular (if not THE most popular) items is called a "blizzard". It's soft ice cream with stuff like Oreo crumbs or Reese peanut butter cups blended into it. They have their staple flavours, but will come out with seasonal ones, too. I remember I went to the US around autumn last year, and they had a pumpkin pie blizzard, which I regret not trying. :(
