At this appropriate time of year, i think the Pope has managed to remind some of us why "religions" are devisive and nothing like the spiritual and moral guardians they purport to be.

Now, unless he comes out and states his comments were taken out of context and meant nothing of the sort, then he is essentially alienating a large section of the world's population as the Muslim religion also does and the Catholic church with their views on contraception.
Do unto others as you would have done to yourself (sorry for any inaccuracies, I'm not religious).
Time for people to practise this and stop "following orders".
