Nestlé to launch 99 calorie biscuit range
« on: December 04, 2008, 08:47:51 pm »
As part of a drive to provide healthier options, Nestlé Confectionery is re-launching its well-loved chocolate biscuit bars (CBBs) range. From January 2009, popular Blue Riband, Breakaway, Toffee Crisp and Drifter CBB's will contain 99 calories.

With the same great taste and no artificial colours or preservatives, a renovated pack design featuring a ‘99 calories' flash on the front will communicate the change to shoppers.

The familiar ‘Nutritional Compass back of pack communication has been improved to provide added shopper re-assurance by highlighting key messages, such as "no artificial colours or preservatives".
Graham Walker, Nestlé UK Trade Communications Manager, says, "Nestlé Confectionery is committed to providing consumers with great tasting treats that consumers can feel good about.

"Across our biscuit portfolio this re-launch is certain to appeal to the growing number of shoppers who are looking for added reassurance of calorie control without compromising on taste, especially mums shopping for lunchboxes or treats for the family.

Didn't Cadbury try this a few years ago to massive indifference?
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?
