On Sunday I treated myself to this yummy assortment box.  Well, I say it's yummy, I haven't eaten it all yet.  I have to use my special 'control when looking in a box of choc's' power!

Anyway, the Sour Cherry Truffle is T-A-N-G-Y!!!  The White Chocolate Truffle is OK, as is the Ginger Baton.  My partner tried the Vanilla Fudge but wasn't that impressed.

Also to try are:

Almond Cluster

Caramel Ball

Orange Fudge

Hazelnut Praline

Turkish Delight (I'm leaving this until last!)

Milk Chocolate Truffle

I can't wait!

They sound lovely.  Aren't Green & Blacks owned by Cadburys?
Old but spicey!

Sort of.  Cadbury bought them off the original bloke, but all the original staff are still on the board.  G&B represent the last corner of yummy chocolate imo.

I'll be feasting on another one later! Pig

Dear Doctor: yummy chocolate may also be found courtesy of Montezuma, Lindt, Fazer and Toms.

(But hey, what do I know? I tried Valrhona Grands Crus once but couldn't tell the damn difference between them!)

I don't see how who owns the company is relevant.

I've eaten the box (not literally) and this is what I thought:

Sour Cherry Truffle - Best thing inn the box.  Really tangy! 7

White Chocolate Truffle - Tasted too buttery! 2

Ginger Baton - Just like chocolate covered ginger.  Warming! 4

Almond Cluster - Choc 'n' almond bits.  Nothing spectacular 3

Caramel Ball - Chocolate ball filled with liquid caramel sludge! Dead

Orange Fudge - Nice orange taste followed by horrible fudgey after-taste. 1

Hazelnut Praline - This is praline?  Cadbury do this better. 1

Turkish Delight - The most disgusting, flavourless Turkish Delight ever! Dead

Milk Chocolate Truffle - Again, Cadbury do this better. 1

This box was really disappointing and gained an average score of 2.1/9.  I cannot believe Green & Blacks put their name to this grim selection.

Green & Blacks annoy me because they are so expensive.

But it's worth the expense, imo.

I don't think it is, tbh. I find G&B a bit underwhelming. Definitely think the price is inflated because of the branding.

I would tend to agree on that point.

But their 85% Dark bar is nearly the best dark chocolate bar there is, even surpassing Lindt's and the Chocolate Alchemist's.

Oh well, if we were all the same we'd have smaller shopping centres.
