The extremes kids will go to
« on: January 09, 2008, 12:12:11 am »
A Mexican boy glued his hand to his bed because he did not want to go back to school after the Christmas break.

"The holidays were such fun," Diego Palacios, 10, who lives outside Monterrey, told Reforma newspaper.

His mother Sandra found him watching television with his hand stuck to the bedstead. "I don't know why he did it," she said. "He is a good boy."

A power-crazy bitch who lives in a fantasy world

Doesn't everyone understand that feeling - of having to start getting up early again on cold, frosty mornings when you still want to hibernate for a few more weeks?

Mind you, I don't suppose that applies in Mexico? Still, it's really hard to get going in a New Year. That's why I take my decorations down on New Year's Day. I just have to face the New Year face-on with gritted teeth and I can't be reminded of the old year and the pre-Christmas excitement and anticipation when I'm back at work facing a new term.
Old but spicey!

He's only 10 though. Who didn't do daft things as a kid?
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

Well I did do daft things, but they were things like locking myself out by accident, and deciding I WAS small enough to fit through the tiny pantry window, when in actual fact I hadn't been small enough for that for a good couple of years or maybe more!LOL
And hiding something I'd broken believing that my mum would never notice it was missing from the top of the TV.... She spotted it straight away!!! Shocked

Not super-glueing any part of myself to anything........On purpose!!!!

Even at 10 I wouldn't have done anything that daft.

And yes oldspice, I understand that feeling. It's awful isn't it?

I got a huge dose of it on Wednesday the 2nd January. It wasn't almost christmas, it wasn't Christmas eve, Christmas day, Boxing day, New Years Eve or New Years Day.

It was just..........Wednesday.

What a let down THAT was. It certainly brings you down to earth with a bump.

But even so, I think glueing yourself to the furniture might be taking things a bit far. Even if you are only ten.

I wonder how long it took them to un-stick him. I bet his mum hides the glue from now on! LOL
