Judy wants to stay home and work on writing a book and Richard wants to go solo and be the next Parkinson.  I think she has just got sick of his bullying. The papers say Richard is 51 and Judy is 59 where as a few years back I read Judy was 16 years older than Richard. I think she has deducted a few years and he has added some on to close the age difference.

I always thought there was six years between them.

Remember on Mrs Merton and Malcolm, when Mrs Merton says 'they're married you know - they're not mother and son' LOL

I used to LOVE Mrs Merton and Malcolm - although colleagues assured me it was very un-PC and cruel.  I remember their neighbour (who played Yotha Joyce's husband in the Man About The House spin-off) sitting beside Mr Merton singing David Bowie's Starman. I still laugh thinking about that. It was just so mad.

Is he the same guy who always buys the cheeseburgers in Catherine Tate?  I've been wondering about this for a while!

Having just done a bit of Googling, indeed it is - he doesn't seem to have changed in all that time.

He's lasted a lot longer than Mildred, poor woman. Yes GC, he is the same one that buys the burgers in Catherine Tate.

Amazingly, I saw Catherine Tate playing a 'straight' part in Miss Marple the other night (made several years ago I think). She was playing a maid but I was thinking that any minute she will turn into that idiot Irish nurse. I could not take her seriously.

Don't ask why I was watching Miss Marple. It was Friday night.  Anyway, I was asleep before the second murder!

From what I have seen of Richard he interrupts people! I doubt he could be like Parky.

Brian Murphy is one of those people who has always looked old, like Clive Dunn, who's still only 34.

I find he is very rude and tries to talk matter of factly about things he has no idea about.

If Judy wants to stay at home and write a book I'm not going to try and talk her out of it!

But I do think Richard ought to stay at home with her and make her nice cups of tea. That way when she needs generally belittling and to be told how little she understands what she's writing about, he'd be right there instead of her having to wait for him to get home.

Maybe if Judy is home alone more she can stop shaking. Richard makes her so nervous.

Once when Richard was away Judy presented with Jerry Springer. I've never seen her so cheery and she didn't shake.
