Is anyone watching this and, if so, does anyone, like me, think that poor Johnathon is a sensible but misunderstood person who is being unfairly treated by a bit of a rabble?

Whenever he tries to get them to slow down, stand back and think about things a bit more clearly they all jump up and down and say he's being bossy. He's very resourceful and practical but they never give him any credit for that.

I can't make my mind up about Jonathan.
If I like him or not seems to depend on what mood he's in.

Because he is all the things you say he is Oldspice, but then he can get very strange and stand-offish with the others and he also seems to want to be one of the group and be accepted, but also keep himself seperate and out on his own, and you never know for sure from moment to moment which mood he's in.

I'll tell you what I do think though, I think he's the only one trying his best in each situation and he seems determined to get the most from every experience. If the others are not careful he'll be the only one out of all of them who really get's anything from the Castaway experience and he'll be the only one who goes home having changed and grown from it all.

But I never watch it!!! LOL  LOL

No I lied, I'm a BIG FAN..

LOL  How could that Gemma call him a scumbag without even hearing his side of the story? OK, he can be an awkward bugger at times, but as you say, he wants to savour the experience and reflect on it and some of the others just rush around trying to be Mr/Mrs Popularity, sucking up to each other and doing very little.

It's not exactly the survival experience I was expecting from what I heard about the last one.
No-one seems to be doing very much of anything.

Not fishing, not hunting, not foraging, in fact all most of them seem to do is hang around their hut, talking and saying how hungry they are. But if they had hunted and fished and foraged from the start they would have food sources now that the supplies they brought with them are almost done and wouldn't be on short rations. Don't you think?

Those two women with the chocolate had me in hysterics the way they guzzled it down, I said I hope no-one smells chocolate on their breath when they get back or they'll really be for it! A group of people who haven't had chocolate for a while could probably smell it from a good distance away. They'd be like bloodhounds on the scent! LOL
